Two Talents. One Switch.

The Visual Effects and Animation communities are constantly undergoing radical changes, so you should work with a studio who moves both industries forward by combining their unique, yet complimentary skills.

Our Focus
Service, Co-production and Education.

First and foremost we transform great ideas into impactful imagery using both leading edge 2D/3D animation and inventive visual effects. Our most recent work can be seen in the series Northern Rescue, currently streaming on Netflix and CBC, The Expanse on Amazon Prime, the Welcome to the Wayne animated webisodes and fan favorite George of the Jungle. Projects in our pipeline include Altered Carbon, Season 2 for Netflix, the recently announced SAW film for Lionsgate with Chris Rock and the independent feature starring Gabriel Byrne entitled Death of a Ladies Man.

Second, we look for intriguing storylines and cooperative partners who we can collaborate with to create compelling content like the recently produced animated Festival Short, ZOUA.

Finally, we work diligently to inspire and cultivate the next generation of talented digital artists by investing heavily in the education platform the Animation Lounge and the Switch Scholarship programs at five major Ontario colleges.

Lets talk about how we can work together

Children Fighting Cancer Create ZOUA

This first of its kind animated short brings to life a story and characters conceived by a group of 10 children in Switzerland currently battling cancer. The Film centers on a young hero named Zoua, a special boy who lives on a deserted island. Coming Soon Tilda Appleseed

Tilda is a charming animated adventure series about friendship and problem solving for preschoolers based on the beloved German children’s book series, Tilda Appleseed by Andreas H. Schmachtl.  You will be impressed with the quality of the storytelling, the characters (led by the very spirited and imaginative Tilda) and the calm, warm, storybook – like art design and animation style.

Conestoga College Scholarship

Switch VFX & Animation is pleased to announce the creation of an Animation Scholarship at Conestoga College, adding to our roster of annual Switch VFX & Animation Scholarship Awards, which currently includes investment at Algonquin College, Centennial College, Seneca College, Sheridan College and St. Clair College.

Conestoga’s new two-year Animation diploma inspires students to use their creative talent to blend drawing, animation and production techniques with strong storytelling skills to create a variety of 2D and 3D animations.

The addition of a 6th scholarship to our talent development program increases Switch’s opportunity to help animation driven college students in the pursuit of their dreams while continuing to grow the much needed number of skilled and creative digital artists in Canada.
