Come work your magic at Switch VFX as an experienced VFX Compositor, either as a Short-Term Contractor or Freelance Artist.
Positions available: VFX Compositor (Freelance), VFX Compositor (Short-Term Contractor)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating high-quality final shots
- Take shots from start to finish, working with elements generated by our CG team or from our library
- Take directions from our supervisors to complete your assigned shots
- Follow our production process and comp workflow
- Ability to work from home with low supervision
- Communicate with the creative team to ensure shots are delivered on time and to the very highest standard
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience
- Must be an Ontario resident
- College diploma in visual effects compositing
- Must have rotoscoping and 2D tracking experience
- Must have in-depth knowledge of the tools available in Nuke X
- Must have knowledge of working with 3D cameras and projection systems within Nuke
- 3D tracking skills with Nuke X
- Must have a keen eye for detail, composition, light, and colour to create photo-real scenes
- Must be able to take directions
- Solid knowledge of current art techniques and willingness to learn and adapt to new skills/tools
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills for multitasking
