Receives 2017 Hugo Award Nomination
Toronto Ontario, April 6, 2017 – Switch VFX & Animation congratulates all the inventive artists whose creativity on Syfy’s The Expanse; Leviathan Episode contributed to its nomination for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form at the 2017 Hugo Awards. Presented annually since 1955, The Hugo Awards are science fictions most prestigious awards, voted on by members of the World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon), who also administer them.
Winners will be celebrated during a ceremony at Worldcon 75, the 75th World Science Fiction Convention, August 11, 2017 in Helsinki Finland. 2464 valid nominating ballots were received and counted from the members of the 2016, 2017 and 2018 World Science Fiction Conventions. The final round of voting will open shortly and will close on July 15, 2017.
The finalists for the 2017 Hugo Awards were announced online April 4th. The video of the announcement is available on YouTube.
