Switch VFX is a boutique studio with a skilled team of versatile Generalists who handle every stage of the pipeline. From indie films to hit series and major studio features, we bring creativity and artistry to every project, no matter the scale.

 

While we can tackle any genre, horror is where we truly shine—delivering blood, gore, and splatter with style. Our aim in every collaboration is open communication and custom VFX solutions tailored to the story, scope, budget, and timeline.

 

We also offer on-set supervision and vendor management for larger productions upon request.

Jessica Finch

VFX Producer

Jessica Finch, a Producer at SWITCH VFX, combines her passion for Film and Television with expertise in Project Management. She has worked on award-winning features, streaming series, and indie films, both in Canada and internationally. She stays current in the industry by engaging with Women in Film and Television Toronto (WIFT-T) and collaborating with leaders across Canada’s media landscape. At SWITCH, she drives her team to deliver exceptional visual effects that surpass expectations.

Kemal Ally

VFX Editor

Kemal Ally is integral to the daily operation of SWITCH VFX and is also our talented VFX Editor. He specializes in expertly managing the client-studio pipeline to ensure a smooth workflow from receiving plates to final delivery. With over 18 years of experience, he has contributed to a wide range of projects, that encompass both traditional and digital animation, as well as live-action VFX for film and television.

Amanda Hollingworth

Senior Compositor & Manager

Amanda is a Senior Compositor and Manager based in Toronto, Ontario. She has honed her skills on productions such as Game of Thrones, Avengers, and Saw plus earned an Emmy and Canadian Screen Award nomination for her contributions to The Borgias. Her passions include storyboarding, drawing, painting, and producing animated shorts. She has submitted her creations to various contests hosted by TAFFI, IFC, and Teletoon.

David Alexander

Lead CG Artist

David is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art (OCAD) and Sheridan College, where he studied 3D animation. After working for forever in post-production David has to his credit 3 Emmy Award nominations, 2 Gemini Award nominations, 2 International Monitor Awards and 1 Gemini Award, each for Best or Outstanding Special Effects. If asked for a preference he would prefer ale over lager.

Brandon Rogers

CG Artist / Digital Compositor

Brandon Rogers in our multiplatform brainchild performing both CG characters and backgrounds as well as digital compositions. After graduating from the Visual Effects program at Sheridan College, Brandon moved on to USC in California to study Cinematography. In the rare moments not working on VFX, Brandon is in a mosh-pit or watching major league baseball.

Cailin Munroe

VFX Producer

Cailin Munroe began in the industry in 2014 as a VFX Coordinator and worked her way up through the ranks to become the VFX Producer she is today. Although she didn’t have her start via the traditional route, she earned her Production Management certificate through CASO at Toronto Metropolitan University and continues to expand her industry knowledge while working at Switch. When she’s not tapping away on a keyboard overseeing budgets and schedules, you can find her in the forest with her family or with her nose stuck in a book. 

Ryan van Steenburgh

Compositor/CG Artist

For the past 11 years, Ryan van Steenburgh has worked at SWITCH VFX as a Compositor and CG Artist. He is passionate about filmmaking, animation, creature effects, fine art, and music, and actively seeks the best tools for projects while supporting teamwork. In his free time, Ryan creates music videos, plays bass guitar in the band ‘Depleted Uranium,’ writes books, and practices drawing and portraiture to refine his artistic skills.
